Coast (folk Rock Band)
Coast is a Scottish rock group, based in Oban, UK. Coast's members are Paul Eastham (lead vocals, keyboards, guitars, accordion), Chris Barnes (percussion) and Finlay Wells (guitars). Early history Coast was formed in winter 2007 by the Stockport born singer-songwriter Paul Eastham and his brother, Chris Barnes. A classically trained pianist, Eastham had previously co-written and co-produced the first EP by the Welsh singer Duffy, '' Aimée Duffy'', which was released in 2004 under the Welsh Awen Records label. Eastham also played keyboards, synthesizers and guitar on the EP. Coast's first EP was ''The Great Crowd'', released in January 2008, also on Awen Records. Per Paul Eastham in the accompanying DVD for the album "'10'", Coast was originally intended to be a studio-only project. But due to the positive online reaction to the title track, a live lineup was soon assembled. Southampton
Southampton () is a port city in the ceremonial county of Hampshire in southern England. It is located approximately south-west of London and west of Portsmouth. Midge Ure
James Ure (born 10 October 1953) is a Scottish musician, singer-songwriter and record producer. His stage name, Midge, is a phonetic reversal of Jim, the diminutive form of his actual name. Ure enjoyed particular success in the 1970s and 1980s in bands including Slik, Thin Lizzy, Rich Kids and Visage, and as the frontman of Ultravox. In 1984, he co-wrote and produced the charity single "Do They Know It's Christmas?", which has sold 3.7 million copies in the UK. The song is the second highest-selling single in UK chart history. Ure co-organised Band Aid, Live Aid and Live 8 with Bob Geldof. He acts as a trustee for the charity and also serves as an ambassador for Save the Children. Antony Garfield "Tony" Henry is an English opera singer from St Albans, Hertfordshire, England. Personal life Henry was the third of five children. His parents are British Ghanaians, Ghanaian by birth. As a child, he often had to get clothes from the charity Barnardo's. During his childhood, his siblings were often involved with the police, with one going to prison for grievous bodily harm. Keane (band)
Keane are an English alternative rock band from East Sussex, formed in 1995. They met while at Tonbridge School together. The band currently comprises Tom Chaplin (lead vocals, electric/acoustic guitar), Tim Rice-Oxley (piano, synthesisers, bass guitar, backing vocals), Richard Hughes (drums, percussion, backing vocals), and Jesse Quin (bass guitar, acoustic/electric guitar, backing vocals).
