Baroque Architecture
Baroque architecture is a highly decorative and theatrical style which appeared in Italy in the early 17th century and gradually spread across Europe. Tui Cathedral
Tui Cathedral is a late- Romanesque and Gothic-style Roman Catholic church in the town of Tui, in Galicia, Spain. It is located at San Fernando square, in the center of the town. Construction began in the 12th century and the northern portal and layout derive from this age. The main facade (1225) however is of a later Gothic style. Sir Francis Drake ( – 28 January 1596) was an English explorer, sea captain, privateer, slave trader, naval officer, and politician. Drake is best known for his circumnavigation of the world in a single expedition, from 1577 to 1580 (the first English circumnavigation, the second carried out in a single expedition, and third circumnavigation overall). This included his incursion into the Pacific Ocean, until then an area of exclusive Spanish interest, and his claim to New Albion for England, an area in what is now the U.S. state of California.
