Jardim Paulista (district Of São Paulo)
Jardim Paulista is a district in the subprefecture of Pinheiros in the city of São Paulo, Brazil. The neighborhood of the same name, located within the district, is one of the neighborhoods that make up the larger region of Jardins, and borders the neighborhoods of Consolação, Cerqueira César and Paraíso. Jardim Paulista is the area delimited by Paulista Avenue, Peixoto Gomide Street, 9 de Julho Avenue, São Gabriel Avenue, República do Líbano Avenue, and Brigadeiro Luís Antônio Avenue. A side platform (also known as a marginal platform or a single-face platform) is a platform positioned to the side of one or more railway tracks or guideways at a railway station, tram stop, or transitway. A station having dual side platforms, one for each direction of travel, is the basic design used for double-track railway lines (as opposed to, for instance, the island platform where a single platform lies between the tracks). Line 2 (Green) ( pt, Linha 2–Verde) is one of the six lines that make up the São Paulo Metro and one of the thirteen lines that make up the Metropolitan Rail Transportation Network. It currently runs between the Vila Madalena and Vila Prudente stations. The line is also called the Paulista Line, because it goes along much of the Avenida Paulista, one of the leading financial centers in São Paulo. The São Paulo Metro ( pt, Metrô de São Paulo, ), commonly called the ''Metrô'' () is one of the urban railways that serves the city of São Paulo, alongside the São Paulo Metropolitan Trains Company (CPTM), forming the largest metropolitan rail transport network of Latin America. The six lines in the metro system operate on of route, serving 91 stations. The metro system carries about 5,300,000 passengers a day. Metro itself is far from covering the entire urban area in the city of São Paulo and only runs within the city limits. Vila Prudente (São Paulo Metro)
Vila Prudente is a station on Line 2-Green and Line 15-Silver of the São Paulo Metro and is the terminus. There are plans to integrate the station with Expresso Tiradentes Line 2 (a bus rapid transit system). The Vila Prudente Bus Terminal is also nearby. Metro stations It was scheduled to open in March 2010, but delays in the constructions prevented the opening, that became unknown until being scheduled, with 3 days in advance, to 21 August 2010. The passenger boarding, however, began only 2 days later, on Monday.
