Club Deportivo Universidad Católica is a professional football club based in Santiago, Chile. Founded in 1937 they play in the Primera División, the top flight of Chilean football. Estadio San Carlos De Apoquindo
Estadio San Carlos de Apoquindo is a football stadium, in Las Condes in the metropolitan region of Santiago de Chile. It is used mostly for home matches stadium of the Chilean top club CD Universidad Católica which also owns the stadium. The stadium was built in 1988 and currently holds 14,118 people. At the club's beginning, all sports were on ''Santa Rosa de las Condes'' Stadium, which is a big sport centre that is going to be demolished and transported to San Carlos. The club president of the time ''Manuel Vélez Samaniego'' decided to open this sports complex. By 1945, the club played as the home team at the ''Independencia Stadium'' which was demolished because of the financial problems of the club, and started to play at Unión Española Stadium, the Santa Laura. 1962 Copa Libertadores
The 1962 Copa de Campeones de América was the third edition of South America's premier club football tournament. Ten teams entered, one more than the previous season, with Venezuela again not sending a representative. This was the first edition in which the defending champions qualified automatically, allowing the nation which contained the holders to have an extra team in the tournament. Club Social y Deportivo Colo-Colo () is a Chilean professional football club based in Macul, Santiago. The Clásico Universitario is one of the most important rivalries of Chilean football and refers to any match contested between Universidad Católica and Universidad de Chile. This ''clásico'' (derby) has been recognized by FIFA as the most traditional of Chile. It is the oldest confrontation between two clubs from academic roots, as the first confrontation goes back to the University Classic of 1909. Founded on 24 May 1927, Universidad de Chile is one of the most successful and popular football clubs in Chile, having won the league title 18 times. José Pedro Fuenzalida Gana (; born 22 February 1985) is a Chilean footballer who currently plays as forward for Universidad Católica. Club career A product of the Universidad Católica youth set-up, Fuenzalida was promoted to the first-adult team in 2004, at the age of 19. He debuted in a 4–0 defeat with Unión Española at San Carlos de Apoquindo for a league game, during a moment considered one of the club's biggest sports crises.
