Cloverdale Cash Spiel
The Cloverdale Cash Spiel was an annual bonspiel, or curling tournament on the men's and women's World Curling Tour, that took place at the Cloverdale Curling Club in Cloverdale, British Columbia (in Surrey). The tournament was held in a round-robin format. The tournament was established in 2011 as one of the first events of the season, and was last held in 2016. John Cullen (curler)
Barry John Cullen (born August 2, 1964) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey centre who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Pittsburgh Penguins, Hartford Whalers, Toronto Maple Leafs and Tampa Bay Lightning. He was a standout player for Boston University and is the school's all-time leading scorer. After the Buffalo Sabres selected him in the 1986 NHL Supplemental Draft but chose not to offer him a contract, Cullen signed with the Flint Spirits of the International Hockey League (IHL) for the 1987–88 season where he was named the IHL's co-Rookie of the Year and Most Valuable Player after leading the league in scoring. His career was halted in 1997 when he was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Dean A. "Skippy" Joanisse (born December 8, 1971) is a Canadian curler from Maple Ridge, British Columbia. Career Joanisse is most notable for skipping his British Columbia team to the 1989 Canadian Junior Curling Championships title, qualifying him to represent Canada at the 1990 World Junior Curling Championships. A jay is a member of a number of species of medium-sized, usually colorful and noisy, passerine birds in the Crow family, Corvidae. The evolutionary relationships between the jays and the magpies are rather complex. For example, the Eurasian magpie seems more closely related to the Eurasian jay than to the East Asian blue and green magpies, whereas the blue jay is not closely related to either.
