Clonmel Commercials
Clonmel Commercials GFC is a Gaelic Athletic Association Gaelic football club located in the town of Clonmel in County Tipperary, Ireland. The club is part of the South Division of Tipperary GAA. They have been Tipperary Senior Football champions on twenty occasions since their formation in 1934. History Affiliated to the GAA in 1934, the club's first taste of county success came in the form of a minor title in 1935. A County Junior title followed in 1940, before the first of the club's 15 Senior titles in 1944. Arguably the club's greatest achievement was winning three county titles in a row in 1965, 1966 and 1967. The captain on all three teams was Brian O'Callaghan. The club's two county titles of the nineties came in 1990 and 1994. On both these occasions Commercials were beaten in the Munster Senior Club Final. 1994 was the club's fourth appearance in the provincial final where they were beaten by Castlehaven. Clonmel GAA Ground
Clonmel GAA Ground, also called Clonmel Sportsground, is a GAA stadium located in the town of Clonmel, County Tipperary, Ireland. It is the home ground of St. Mary's hurling team and Gaelic football team Clonmel Commercials. It is also occasionally used by the Tipperary county football team and has hosted games in the Munster Senior Football Championship, McGrath Cup and National Football League. Declan Ryan's first game in charge of the Tipperary hurlers took place in Clonmel in January 2011 in the Waterford Crystal Cup against WIT where Tipperary were defeated by a scoreline of 2–17 to 1–19. Nemo Rangers Hurling & Football Club is a Cork (city), Cork-based Gaelic Athletic Association club on the southside of Cork city, Ireland. Ian Fahey (born 29 June 1994) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays as a centre-forward for the Tipperary senior team. Life Born in Clonmel, County Tipperary, Fahey first arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of sixteen when he first linked up with the Tipperary minor team before later joining the under-21 side. He made his senior debut during the 2013 championship. Fahey immediately became a regular member of the starting fifteen and has won one National League (Division 4) medal. GAA GPA All Stars Awards
The Gaelic Athletic Association-Gaelic Players' Association All Stars Awards (often known simply as the All Stars) are awarded annually to the best player in each of the 15 playing positions in Gaelic football and hurling. Additionally, one player in each code is selected as Player of the Year. The awards were instituted in 1971. Since 2011 they have been presented jointly by the Gaelic Athletic Association and the representative body for inter-county players, the Gaelic Players Association. Séamus Kennedy (born 26 June 1993) is an Irish Gaelic footballer and hurler who plays as a right wing-back for the Tipperary senior teams. Born in Clonmel, County Tipperary, Kennedy attended Thurles CBS in order to play at Harty Cup level and socialise with John Meaghar. He arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of sixteen when he first linked up with the Tipperary minor hurling in 2010 and 2011, minor football team in 2011, before later joining the under-21 hurling team from 2012 until 2014, and football team in 2013 (as captain) and 2014. Kevin Fahey is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays as a centre-back for the Tipperary senior team. At club level Fahey plays with Clonmel Commercials. The 2022 Tipperary Senior Football Championship was the 132nd staging of the Tipperary Senior Football Championship since its establishment by the Tipperary County Board in 1887.
