Clinton Theron (born 3 November 1995) is a South African rugby union player, currently playing with Currie Cup side the . He can play as a loosehead or tighthead prop. Rugby career Schoolboy rugby Theron was born in Florida and attended Hoërskool Florida. He was selected to represent the at the Under-16 Grant Khomo Week in 2011 and the Under-18 Craven Week in 2012, scoring a try against KwaZulu-Natal in the latter tournament. Golden Lions After school, he joined the academy and made nine appearances for the side in the 2014 Under-19 Provincial Championship, scoring tries in their matches against and , both tries proving decisive in narrow victories. In 2015, he was included in the squad that competed in the 2015 Vodacom Cup competition. Florida is a location in Gauteng province, South Africa. It is located about 16 kilometres west of Johannesburg. The area which is referred to as Florida was originally established as the farm ''Vogelstruisfontein''. Today, it is a suburb of Roodepoort. The 2015 Under-21 Provincial Championship Group A was contested from 10 July to 24 October 2015. The competition (also known as the ''ABSA Under-21 Provincial Championship'' for sponsorship reasons) was the top tier of 2015 edition of the Under-21 Provincial Championship, an annual Under-21 inter-provincial rugby union competition featuring fifteen South African provincial unions. The 2016 Currie Cup qualification series was a South African rugby union competition organised by the South African Rugby Union which was played between 9 April and 23 July 2016. It featured all fourteen South African provincial unions plus the from Namibia and served as a qualifying competition for the 2016 Currie Cup, the 78th edition of South Africa's premier domestic rugby union competition.
