Cleveland Central Catholic High School is a private co-educational high school located in Cleveland, Ohio. It is run by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Cleveland. It is a member of the North Central Association, the Notre Dame Education Association, and the National Catholic Education Association. History Cleveland Central Catholic was formed by the merger of 4 Roman Catholic Cleveland high schools - St. John Cantius, Lourdes Central, St. Michael the Archangel, and St. Stanislaus. Its first year of operation was the 1969-1970 scholastic year. Jantel Lavender (born November 12, 1988) is an American professional basketball player for the Seattle Storm of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). She was drafted with the fifth overall pick in the 2011 WNBA draft by the Los Angeles Sparks. Eric LaShawn Wilkerson (born December 19, 1966) is a former American football running back who played one season with the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League. He played college football at Kent State University and attended Cleveland Central Catholic High School in Cleveland, Ohio. He was also a member of the Detroit Lions, New York/New Jersey Knights and Cleveland Thunderbolts. Early years Wilkerson lettered in football and track all four years for the Cleveland Central Catholic High School Ironmen. He rushed for nearly 1,300 yards and 17 touchdowns his senior year.
