''ClayFighter 63⅓'' is a 1997 fighting game developed and published by Interplay Productions for the Nintendo 64. It is the third installment of the ''ClayFighter'' series. The title is a parody of the "64" suffix common with the Nintendo 64's games. Upon release, ''ClayFighter 63⅓'' was negatively received by critics for its gameplay, animation, and AI. An updated version entitled ''ClayFighter: Sculptor's Cut'' was released in 1998 as a Blockbuster rental exclusive. Due to not receiving wide distribution, ''Sculptor's Cut'' is one of the rarest and most valuable Nintendo 64 games. ''ClayFighter'' is a fighting game released for the Super NES in November 1993 and later ported to Sega Genesis in June 1994. The game is a parody of ''Street Fighter''. In 2009, the Genesis version was re-released on the Wii Virtual Console. Most of the game features a circus theme focused more on humor. It features claymation-style graphics that were created by photographing and digitized actual clay models. The game was one of the two "clay"-themed game franchises made by Interplay Productions, the second being a platformer released for the SNES titled ''Claymates''. In July 2020, Megalopolis Toys made a partnership with Interplay to release a line of 6-inch action figures based on the games. ''Claymates'' is a platform game for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). It is one of Interplay's clay animation titles which also included the ''ClayFighter'' series. Overview The protagonist of the game is a boy named Clayton, whose scientist father has developed a serum that can transform people into animals when it's combined with clay. Suddenly, Jobo the witch doctor appears and demands the formula for the serum. The father refuses, to which Jobo replies by changing Clayton into a ball of clay and stealing away both his father and the serum. Clayton vows to save his father in spite of his new form and embarks on a journey through his backyard, the Pacific, Japan, Africa, and finally outer space. Clay animation or claymation, sometimes plasticine animation, is one of many forms of stop-motion animation. Each animated piece, either character or background, is "deformable"—made of a malleable substance, usually plasticine clay. WiiWare
WiiWare was a service that allowed Wii users to download games and applications specifically designed and developed for the Wii video game console made by Nintendo. These games and applications could only be purchased and downloaded from the Wii Shop Channel under the WiiWare section. Once the user had downloaded the game or application, it would appear in their Wii Menu or SD Card Menu as a new channel. WiiWare was a companion to the Virtual Console, which specializes in emulated games originally developed for other systems instead of original games.
