Claus Wiese
Claus Wiese (March 1, 1924 – September 7, 1987) was a Norwegian actor and American-based radio broadcaster. Wiese was born in Lillestrøm. He graduated from the Oslo Cathedral School in 1944 and worked as an actor with the Oslo New Theater from 1945 to 1951. Wiese debuted in the film ''Englandsfarere'' in 1946. He married an American, Joan Ann Trapp, on August 12, 1950. Wiese worked as a film editor at the TV station WNAC in Boston, Massachusetts from 1952 to 1954, was head of programming at WMTW in Poland Spring, Maine from 1954 to 1975 and business director at the same station from 1975 to 1982, and became the station manager at WMTV in Auburn, Maine in 1982. In 1961, he and his wife moved to Bethel, Maine, where they owned and operated the Norseman Inn for 25 years. Claus Wiese was the brother of the author and former administrative director at J.W. Lillestrøm is a municipality in Viken county. It is located in the traditional district of Romerike. With a population of 85,757 inhabitants, it is the fourth most populated municipality in Viken. ''Sankt Hans fest'' (St. John's Festival or Saint Hans' Celebration) is a Norwegian film directed by Toralf Sandø. It premiered on April 7, 1947. It is based on the 1887 novel ''Sankt Hans Fest'' by Alexander Kielland. Plot The film follows the plot of the novel. The dour priest Kruse is played by Tore Foss, who opposes the business establishment's town party, which is planned by Johannes Eckhoff as Garman, Jon Lennart Mjøen as Randulf, Claus Wiese as Holck, Erling Drangsholt as the bank manager, and Sigurd Magnussøn as the county governor. ''Dei svarte hestane'' ( en, The black horses}) is a 1951 Norwegian drama film directed by Hans Jacob Nilsen and Sigval Maartmann-Moe, and starring Hans Jacob Nilsen, Eva Sletto and Ottar Vicklund. It is based on the novel ''Dei svarte hestane'' by Tarjei Vesaas. Ambros Fornes (Nilsen) owns two large farms and runs a coaching house. On his farm he has four fit and shiny black horses. The history is based on the best known commando raid in Norway during World War II, where the resistance group Norwegian Independent Company 1 destroyed the heavy water plant at Vemork in Telemark in February 1943. Jan Wiese
Jan Wiese (4 March 1928 – 5 July 2014) was a Norwegian publisher and novelist. Wiese was hired as chief financial officer in Cappelens Forlag in 1964, became assisting director in 1965 and chief executive officer (joint with Sigmund Strømme) from 1973 to 1988. He chaired the Norwegian Publishers' Association from 1975 to 1978. However, he became best known when he in 1990, as a retiree, published the novel ''Kvinnen som kledde seg naken for sin elskede''. The novel became a commercial success and was translated to several languages. He was married and resided in Bærum, later in Skjetten.
