Claes Dieden
Claes Ove Dieden (4 June 1942 – 11 March 2021) was a Swedish singer-songwriter, best known for his cover of "Da Doo Ron Ron" which became a hit in Sweden in 1969. Several of his compositions were recorded and saw commercial success by other groups. Biography Claes Dieden was born on 4 June 1942 in Stockholm, Sweden. He was grew up in the neighborhood of Östermalm, where he'd largely remain for the rest of his life. He became interested in music and radio broadcasting from an early age which eventually landed him a job at national broadcaster Sveriges Radio in the early 1960s. Additionally, he had started playing guitar. He met Roger Wallis at Sveriges Radio and bonded with him over their shared passion for music, which eventually resulted in the duo forming a band in 1965. The band, named Science Poption, also included vocalist Anders Gellner, bassist Björn Stolt and drummer Ola Brunkert, who would go on to record with ABBA. ''Studio'' is the fifth studio album by the Swedish rock band Tages, released on 4 December 1967 on Parlophone in Sweden. Following the success of their album '' Contrast'', Tages began working on their follow-up to it. Hampered by a long summer tour, the album was largely recorded between October and November 1967 with sessions spanning all the way back to April. It was primarily recorded at Europafilm Studios in Bromma, Stockholm with Anders Henriksson producing. The band took a break in recording the album in October for a tour of England organized by Parlophone, which allowed them access to EMI Studios in London, where two of the album's tracks were recorded. One single was released from the album, "She's Having a Baby Now" and the sessions also produced the non-album single "Treat Her Like a Lady". Tages were a Swedish rock band formed in Gothenburg in 1963. The group, whose original line-up consisted of Tommy Blom, Göran Lagerberg, Danne Larsson, Anders Töpel and Freddie Skantze, were one of the most successful Swedish bands of the 1960s. They achieved thirteen top-20 singles on Kvällstoppen, such as " Sleep Little Girl", " I Should Be Glad", "In My Dreams", and " Miss Mac Baren", as well as having two albums certified gold, ''Tages'' (1965) and ''Tages 2'' (1966). Tages began their recording career as a beat band, heavily influenced and inspired by the Beatles. Initially, the group garnered much criticism from other musicians, who considered them inexperienced. This led to them quickly developing as a group, drawing influences from British mod artists, specifically Small Faces, and like them, were the center of Swedish male fashion from 1965 onward. Björn Skifs
Björn Nils Olof Skifs (; born 20 April 1947) is a Swedish singer, songwriter, actor, and screenwriter. Career Björn Skifs formed his first musical group, Slam Creepers, in 1962. Slam Creepers split in 1969 and Skifs went on to form a new band, Blåblus (a farmer's or workman's shirt (blus, blouse) made from blue (blå, blue) fabric - a pun (blues)) in 1972. As the lead singer of Blue Swede (another pun - blue + suede), the band had a No. 1 hit on ''Billboard'' Hot 100 in 1974 with a cover of Mark James's "Hooked on a Feeling". Skifs embarked on a solo career after Slam Creepers broke up in 1969 and previously he had recorded the duet ''Med varann'' with Anni-Frid Lyngstad for his 1975 album ''Schiffz!''.
