Civic Committee of the Solidarity with Ukraine ( pl, Komitet Obywatelski Solidarności z Ukrainą or ''KOSzU'') – Polish organization founded in order to support pro-democratic changes in Ukraine. The group has been established at the beginning of Revolution of Dignity (Revolution of Euromaidan) in the beginning of 2014. Mission The mission, as declared in Founding Declaration, is support for pro-democratic changes in Ukraine, but also providing support to people and organizations repressed for their political beliefs. Henryk Wujec
Henryk Wujec (25 December 1940 – 15 August 2020) was a Polish politician who served as a member of the Sejm. Wujec was born in Podlesie, Biłgoraj County. As a child, he was interned at Majdanek concentration camp. He graduated from Warsaw University with a degree in Physics and went on to study electron technology as a postgraduate in 1970. A physicist by profession, Wujec was an activist in the Solidarity movement of the 1980s. In 1984, he was imprisoned at Białołęka for his political activities. Zbigniew Romaszewski
Zbigniew Jan Romaszewski (2 January 1940 – 13 February 2014) was a Polish conservative politician, senator since 1989, and human rights activist. After the June 1976 protests he was cofounder of assurance to workers prosecuted by communist regime. He was one of the founders of the Workers' Defence Committee (KOR). He became Chief of Bureau of Intervention of the Committee for Social Self-defence KOR in 1977. In 1979 knew Andrej Sacharov. In 1980 he was the founder of the Helsinki Committee in Poland. In 1980-1981 he was chief of Commission of Intervention and Law-abidingness of Solidarity. During martial law in Poland he established independent Radio Solidarity. In 1982 he was arrested and jailed by the Communist regime until 1984. In 2007 he was elected to the Senate from the electoral list of Law and Justice. Danuta Kuroń
Danuta Kuroń (née Filarska, previously Winiarska; born 1949) is a Polish trade union and democratic activist. She was an underground organizer for the trade union Solidarity in the Polish People's Republic, and she edited and contributed reporting to their periodicals. Life and career Kuroń studied history at the University of Warsaw from 1968 to 1970, and in 1976 she graduated with a history degree from the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. From 1980 to 1981 she was the editor of prominent trade union magazines.
