City Junior A Football Championship
The City Junior A Football Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the EBO Home Rescue City Junior A Football Championship) is an annual Gaelic football competition organised by the Seandún Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association since 1926 for junior Gaelic football teams in Cork, Ireland. The series of games begin in May, with the championship culminating with the final in the autumn. The championship has always been run as a knock-out competition with no second chance for beaten teams. The City Junior Championship is an integral part of the wider Cork Junior Football Championship. The winners and runners-up of the City Championship join their counterparts from the other seven divisions to contest the county championship. 10 clubs currently participate in the City Championship. Douglas () is a suburb, with a village core, in Cork (city), Cork city, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. Whitechurch GAA
Whitechurch GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in the village of Whitechurch, County Cork, Ireland. The club fields teams in both hurling and Gaelic football. History The Whitechurch club was first established in 1904 to represent the eastern half of Blarney parish. It made some progress on the Gaelic football field, however, it went into decline for a period. It was reformed as a hurling club for some years in the 1920s, and competed in the newly formed City Division. A shortage of players result in the club becoming defunct by 1928. In 1959, Whitechurch was revived as a sister Gaelic football club to Blarney hurling club in the Muskerry Division. The Whitechurch-Blarney arrangement ended in 1968, when Whitechurch became an independent dual club. Two Mid Cork JBHC titles were secured in 1968 and 1970. Passage West (locally known as "Passage"; ) is a port town in County Cork, Ireland, situated on the west bank of Cork Harbour, some 10 km south-east of Cork city. Passage West GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the town of Passage West, in County Cork, Republic of Ireland. The club fields teams in both Gaelic football and hurling. It is a member of the Seandún division of Cork GAA. Nemo Rangers Hurling & Football Club is a Cork (city), Cork-based Gaelic Athletic Association club on the southside of Cork city, Ireland.
