Citizens (Chilean Political Party)
Citizens ( es, Ciudadanos , called Public Force between 2013 and 2015) was a Chilean political party founded in 2013, with members comprising militants and independents of the center and center-left whose beliefs did not align with New Majority or Chile Vamos. Party militants mainly came from the Christian Democratic Party and the Party for Democracy. Ideology One of the ideological axes of Citizens was the realization of political reforms, mainly to the binominal system that governs in the country. Other elements of the party platform included term limits for political officeholders and equal marriage. (Spanish for "Let’s go Chile”) is a centre-right to right-wing political coalition of three political parties in Chile. The coalition was created on 29 January 2015 by the general secretaries of the Independent Democrat Union (UDI), National Renewal (RN), Democratic Independent Regionalist Party (PRI) and Political Evolution (Evópoli). Amplitude (political Party)
Amplitude was a Chilean classical-liberal political party founded in January 2014. Although initially grouped as centre-right independents that had no militancy in the parties of the Alliance, the party's leanings were later grouped with the "liberal center" and the party was associated with other movements outside the coalition before its dissolution. History On 7 January 2014, deputies Karla Rubilar, and decided to leave their party, the National Renewal party, due to ideological differences. María Soledad Alvear Valenzuela (born September 17, 1950), is a Chilean lawyer and Christian Democrat politician, who was a cabinet member of the Aylwin, Frei and Lagos administrations. She was president of the Christian Democrat Party (PDC) from 2006–2008. She is currently senator for Santiago/East. Under President Patricio Aylwin, Alvear worked as Minister of Women's Affairs, a new Ministry created to deal with discrimination against women in Chilean society. Laura Mariana Aylwin Oyarzún (born 13 July 1949) is a Chilean people, Chilean teacher, historian and politician. The Chilean presidential primaries of 2013 were held in Chile on Sunday 30 June 2013. It was the first such election to be run by the government under a new primary law published in December 2012. According to the law, primaries are voluntary, but its results are binding. The two main political coalitions decided to participate: Former president Michelle Bachelet won the Nueva Mayoría primary with 73% of the vote, while former senator and minister Pablo Longueira won the Alianza primary with 51%.
