Ousmane Cisse (born October 20, 1982) is a Malian retired professional basketball player. Standing at 6' 9" he played both power forward and center positions. In 2005-06 he was the top rebounder in the Israel Basketball Premier League, as well as the Israeli Basketball Premier League Defensive Player of the Year. Souleymane Cissé (born April 21, 1940) is a Malian film director, regarded as one of the first generation of African filmmakers. He has been called "Africa's greatest living filmmaker" while his film ''Yeelen'' has been called "conceivably the greatest African film ever made." Biography Born in Bamako and raised in a Muslim family, Souleymane Cissé was a passionate cinephile from childhood. Madjiguène Cissé (26 September 1951 – 15 May 2023) was a Senegalese activist who was the spokeswoman of the undocumented immigrants movement and founder of the Women's Network for Sustainable Development in Africa.
