Erik Balling
Erik Balling (29 November 1924 – 19 November 2005) was a Danish TV and film director. He created two of Denmark's most popular TV-series, ''Matador'' and '' Huset på Christianshavn''. His feature film '' Qivitoq'' (1956) was nominated for a Golden Palm at the 1957 Cannes Film Festival, and for an Oscar as Best Foreign Language Film. His 1962 film ''Den kære familie'' was entered into the 3rd Moscow International Film Festival. Together with Henning Bahs, he also created the hugely popular series of ''Olsen Gang'' feature films. Biography Balling started working for the largest and oldest Danish film production company, Nordisk Films Kompagni, in 1946. He later became the boss of the company. Axel Landing Larsen known as Buster Larsen (1 September 1920 – 18 December 1993), was a Danish stage, film and TV actor. He had his stage debut on Nørrebros Theater in 1932 aged 12, and his film debut in 1933. The Danish Film Database ( da, Filmdatabasen, formerly Danish National Filmography, Danish: ''Danmarks Nationalfilmografi''), is a database maintained by the Danish Film Institute (DFI) about Danish films since 1896 including silent films, short films, and documentary films. When it went online in November 2000, it included data on all 1,000 Danish films produced between 1968 and 2000, and 10,000 persons, which by 2014 had been expanded to 22,000 titles, 106,000 persons and 6,000 companies. DR (broadcaster)
DR (), officially the Danish Broadcasting Corporation in English, is a Danish public-service radio and television broadcasting company. Founded in 1925 as a public-service organization, it is Denmark's oldest and largest electronic media enterprise. DR is a founding member of the European Broadcasting Union. DR was originally funded by a media licence, however since 2022, the media license has been replaced by an addition to the Danish income tax. Helle Genie Virkner née Lotinga (15 September 1925 – 10 June 2009) was a Danish actress, author and spouse of Prime Minister Jens Otto Krag Personal life Helle Genie Lotinga was born in Aarhus to Jewish rentier Moritz “Morris” Lotinga and Ellen Larsine (née Rasmussen) Her parents divorced when she was 5, at which point she moved with her mother from Ry to Copenhagen. Her paternal family escaped to Sweden in 1943. Helle changed her last name from Lotinga to Virkner in 1944. Helle Virkner was married three times. Tommy Osvald Charlie Kenter (born 15 April 1950 in Copenhagen) is a Danish actor. He had his debut already when he was 11 years old in ''Cirkus Buster'', performing under the name Tommy Kanter. He later appeared as "fru Christoff" in the satirical TV-show ''Dansk Naturgas'' working together with Per Pallesen. He has performed in ''Dansk Melodi Grand Prix'' together with ''Lise Dandanel'' and Hanne Boel with his own song "Piano". Karl Stegger
Karl Stegger (11 January 1913, in Aarhus – 13 April 1980, in Frederiksberg) was a Danish actor, who appeared in 157 films which makes him the second-most used Danish film actor after Ove Sprogøe. He mostly appeared in comedy, but also had some serious roles e.g. as the vicar in ''Præsten i Vejlby'' (based on the Steen Steensen Blicher drama). Inger Stender (1912–1989) was a Danish actress of stage, film and television whose sophisticated elegance and classic beauty earned her the description of Denmark's version of Marlene Dietrich.
