Circus Records is an independent record label founded by Joshua "Flux Pavilion" Steele, Shaun "Doctor P" Brockhurst, Simon Swan and Earl Falconer in 2009. Kanye West and Jay-Z sampled the Flux Pavilion song "I Can't Stop" in "Who Gon Stop Me". Steele's extended play ''Blow the Roof'' also charted at number 60 on the UK Albums Chart. Flux Pavilion
Joshua Steele (born 15 January 1989) better known by his stage name Flux Pavilion, is an English EDM producer, DJ, singer-songwriter and label owner who has been performing since 2008. Flux Pavilion has headlined three US tours, two UK tours, and several festival DJ sets, including Glastonbury, Reading, Coachella, and EDC Vegas. He has also made live performances with Example, Foreign Beggars and Chiddy Bang. Flux has listed his sound to be inspired by The Prodigy and Rusko. Career 2009–2010 Flux Pavilion co-founded Circus Records along with childhood friend Doctor P, in 2009 with the backing of D&B pioneer DJ Swan-E and Earl Falconer of UB40. Blow The Roof
''Blow the Roof'' is the second EP by English dubstep artist Flux Pavilion. It entered the UK Albums Chart at number 60 and the UK Dance Albums Chart at number four. ''Blow the Roof'' represents a slight evolution of Flux Pavilion's typical production style while keeping it the same; according to Connor Hartley of the music blog Reigning Beats, "In the EP, Flux plays with his musical styles, performing some trap, some electro-hop, and some faster dubstep rhythms, but refuses to compromise the depth of his sound." The first song that could be heard from the EP was "Double Edge" due to its inclusion in the video game '' Need for Speed: Most Wanted'', which was released about 3 months before the EP. Rusko (musician)
Christopher William Mercer (born 26 January 1985), known by stage name Rusko, is a British electronic music producer and DJ from York, England. History Rusko was born in Leeds and brought up in nearby York. He grew up in Wheldrake just outside of the city and attended Fulford School. He later graduated from Leeds College of Music with a degree in Music Performance. Immersed in the world of dubstep through Leeds based event "Sub Dub" which was held at the West Indian Centre, Rusko moved to London to work with the record label Sub Soldiers with now no longer associated act Caspa. During this period he introduced producer Reso to dubstep and the two lived for a time together, driving his flatmate "a bit mental" with hearing the track "Cockney Thug" through the wall for a week. James Hazell (born 29 July 1986), better known by his stage name FuntCase, is an English dubstep and drum and bass producer and DJ, from Bournemouth, England. Hazell first released drum and bass, under the alias DJ Dose in 2007, and in 2009 released his first single under the name FuntCase. In 2010 he was signed to Flux Pavilion and Doctor P Doctor P is the stage name of the English dubstep producer and DJ, Shaun Brockhurst (born 9 April 1986). The Official Albums Chart is a list of albums ranked by physical and digital sales and (from March 2015) audio streaming in the United Kingdom. It was published for the first time on 22 July 1956 and is compiled every week by the Official Charts Company (OCC) on Fridays (previously Sundays). It is broadcast on BBC Radio 1 (top 5) and found on the OCC website as a Top 100 or on UKChartsPlus as a Top 200, with positions continuing until all sales have been tracked in data only available to industry insiders.
