"Cinnamon" is a song by American rock band Stone Temple Pilots. "Cinnamon" is the sixth track off the band's sixth studio album, ''Stone Temple Pilots'', released in 2010. The song was the album's third single, after " Take a Load Off". Two music videos were filmed for "Cinnamon," however neither one was officially released but can be viewed on YouTube. This was also the band's final single recorded with their full original lineup with their original vocalist Scott Weiland before he was fired from the band in 2013 and before his death in December 2015. Stone Temple Pilots (also known by the initialism STP) is an American rock band from San Diego, California, that originally consisted of Scott Weiland (lead vocals), brothers Dean (guitar) and Robert DeLeo (bass, backing vocals), and Eric Kretz (drums). The band's lineup remained unchanged from its formation in 1989 until the firing of Weiland in February 2013. Linkin Park vocalist Chester Bennington joined the band in May 2013 but left amicably in November 2015. Ian Kevin Curtis (15 July 1956 – 18 May 1980) was an English musician, singer, and songwriter. He was best known as the lead singer, guitarist, and lyricist of the post-punk band Joy Division, with whom he released the albums ''Unknown Pleasures'' (1979) and '' Closer'' (1980). He was noted for his bass-baritone voice, unique dancing style, and songwriting that was typically filled with imagery of loneliness, emptiness, and alienation. Curtis had epilepsy and depression and died by suicide on the eve of Joy Division's first North American tour, shortly before the release of ''Closer''. The album was released worldwide from May 21 through May 27, 2010, and is the band's first album since 2001's ''Shangri-La Dee Da''. The album is the result of the band's reunion, which occurred in April 2008 with their North American tour. After Stone Temple Pilots had begun playing together, the band decided to record again, but a lawsuit filed by Atlantic Records on June 12, 2008, made the sixth album an uncertainty. Atlantic eventually withdrew the lawsuit, and the band's attorney called the legal situation a "misunderstanding".
