Ciner Media Group (''Ciner Medya Grubu'') is a Turkish media conglomerate established in 2007, part of the Ciner Holding conglomerate. Among other properties it owns the ''Habertürk'' newspaper, Habertürk TV and Habertürk Radyo, and the television stations Show TV, Show Türk and ShowMax TV. It co-owns the television station Bloomberg HT. It also publishes a range of magazines, including Turkish editions of international magazines such as ''FHM''. From 2005 to 2007 it owned ''Sabah''; the newspaper was seized by the government's TMSF. From 2005 to 2007 it owned the ATV television station. Dinç Bilgin
Dinç Bilgin (born 1940) is a Turkish businessman who built up a media empire which was voluntarily handed over to the Turkish government in 2008 over alleged financial irregularities relating to Etibank. These companies were later sold by TMSF for $ 1.1 Billion. ATV (Turkey)
ATV (stylized as atv) is a Turkish free-to-air television network owned by Turkuvaz Media Group. It was launched in September 1993. ATV is an acronym of Actual Television (). As of August 2013, ATV was Turkey's most popular channel with a market share of 22%. ATV was founded by Sabah Group, who is the original owner of the channel. TMSF
The Savings Deposit Insurance Fund of Turkey ( tr, Tasarruf Mevduatı Sigorta Fonu), a.k.a. TMSF in abbreviated form, is the governing body concerned with matters of fund management and insurance in the Turkish banking system. The body was founded in 1933 with the name Deposit Protection Act ( tr, Mevduatı Koruma Kanunu). In 1960, the name was changed to Bankalar Tasfiye Fonu ( tr, Bankalar Tasfiye Fonu). ''Sabah'' is a Turkish daily newspaper, with a circulation of around 330,000 as of 2011. Its name means "morning" in Turkish. The newspaper was founded in İzmir by Dinç Bilgin on 22 April 1985. In 2007, the government of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan seized the newspaper, citing a legal document that had not been disclosed to authorities when ''Sabah'' was sold in 2001. Showmax is an online subscription video on demand (SVOD) service which launched in South Africa on 19 August 2015. Showmax uses a localisation strategy to take on established video on demand competitors with a focus on local content and partnerships with mobile telcos.
