Chō Kōsoku Galvion
is a 22-episode anime television series mecha series that aired in Japan in 1984. It revolves around criminals using robots to save innocents in exchange for years being cut from their long prison sentences. The program did not fare very well and had its planned number of episodes cut due to the bankruptcy of the its sponsor, Takatoku Toys. A 23rd episode was partially completed but did not air. Episode 22 was a typical episode but had a 35-second epilogue tacked onto the end that explained the series' planned outcome via voice-over narration and stills. This series was also one of the last to be animated by the studio Kokusai Eiga-sha. Story In the 23rd century, billionaire Rei Midoriyama creates a secret organization called Circus to combat a hidden group called Shadow that is taking over the world. , also known as Movie International Company Ltd. (MIC), was a former Japanese animation production company known for the ''J9 Series''. It was originally established in 1974 by Tsubota as Shigezu Ukuda founded as a video distribution company. It began producing animation in 1979. Enoki Films in the United States currently holds the American license to most of Kokusai Eiga's works. was a Japanese animation design studio formed in 1978. It went bankrupt and was liquidated in 1997. AIC RIGHTS now holds the intellectual property of most of Artmic's titles. Takatoku Toys
was a Japanese toy company active during the 1970s and early 1980s. While responsible for many robots, action-figures and vehicles, they are today mainly known for making the original Macross toys. During the 1970s Takatoku made toys based on shows such as Ultraman Leo, Hurricane Polimar, and even Speed Racer, Mach Go Go Go (years after the show had aired). They produced die-cast character-toys including the Z-Gokin line as well a wide range of other types. Kanzen Henkei When the Real Robot, real robot craze hit in the early 1980s Takatoku adapted by changing the style of their toys. The turning point came in 1982 when they produced toys for Macross (1982–83) with the focus on the transforming VF-1 Valkyrie.
