''Châtelet Les Halles'' is a 2000 album recorded by French singer Florent Pagny. It was his sixth studio album and his eighth album overall. Released on 7 November 2000, it achieved huge success in France where it remained charted for 80 weeks, including a peak at the top for one week. It was also successful in Belgium (Wallonia). It provided three singles, but a sole top ten hit: "Et un jour, une femme" (#5 in France, #2 in Belgium), "Châtelet Les Halles" (#45 in France) and "Terre" (#37 in France). Florent Pagny (born 6 November 1961) is a French singer-songwriter, musician and actor. He records his work in French, as well as in Italian, Spanish and English. His greatest hits include " N'importe quoi", " Savoir aimer" and " Ma Liberté de penser"—all three were number one in France. As of 2018, he has sold more than 6 million singles and 10 million albums, becoming the 17th best-selling artist of all time in France. Early years Florent Pagny began his artistic career as an actor in popular films and television dramas. He appeared in ''La Balance'', '' L'As des as'', and ''A Captain's Honor'' or ''Fort Saganne''. In 1987, he wrote his first song titled " N'importe quoi". Pagny's first album, ''Merci'', was released in 1990. ''2'' is a 2001 album recorded by French singer Florent Pagny. It was his seventh studio album and was released on December 17, 2001. It achieved success in France and Belgium (Wallonia), where it hit #3, and in Switzerland where it peaked at #8. This album is composed of cover versions of popular songs in French or English, and covers of Pagny's previous songs, but as the title suggests, these songs were overdubbed as duets with many notable artists such as David Hallyday, Calogero, Pascal Obispo and Patrick Bruel. Pascal Michel Obispo (; born 8 January 1965) is a French singer-songwriter. Biography Pascal Obispo, son of Max Obispo (a former Bordeaux Girondins football player of Basque origin) and Nicole Guérin (originally from Angers), was born on 8 January 1965 in Bergerac. In 1978, at the age of 13, after the divorce of his parents, he was raised by his mother who decided to settle in Rennes. Michel Armengot (born 16 September 1961), more commonly known as Art Mengo, is a French singer and songwriter. Though born in the Occitan city of Toulouse in France, he is of Spanish descent as his parents had fled from the Francoist State.
