Church Mission Society Higher Secondary School, Thrissur
Church Mission Society Boys Higher Secondary School (CMSHSS) is a higher secondary school located in Thrissur city, of Kerala state, in India. The school was started by CMS missionary in 1845. CMS Boys HSS, Thrissur is one of the oldest school in the state of Kerala. The school gives instruction in Malayalam and English and follows the Kerala state syllabus. It has classes from LKG to 12th (+2) standard. History The Church Mission Society started their activities in thrissur in the year 1836. Subsequently they started a lower primary school at mission quarters in East Fort Thrissur on 1845 by Reverend father Henry Harley and he was the missioner of CMS. The current school started in 1883. Thrissur (), formerly Trichur, also known by its historical name Thrissivaperur, is a city and the headquarters of the Thrissur district in Kerala, India. Puthezhath Raman Menon
Puthezhath Raman Menon (19 October 1891 – 22 September 1973) was an Indian writer of Malayalam literature. Known for essays, historical writings, biographies and translations, Menon was the first to translate Tagore's works into Malayalam. He was a judge at the Kerala High Court and was a recipient of the title, ''Sahitya Kushalan'', conferred on him by the Rajah of Cochin. Kerala Sahitya Akademi honoured him with the distinguished fellowship in 1971. Edappal Ponnamkuzhi Veettil Parameswaran Sukumaran Nair (10 June 1948 – 16 June 1997), known mononymously as Sukumaran, was an Indian actor and producer of Malayalam films. Sukumaran became a popular film star in Malayalam cinema during the 1970s. He was considered one of the superstar trios of Malayalam cinema during the late 1970s and early 1980s along with Soman and Jayan.
