Chrysler Pacifica (crossover)
The Chrysler Pacifica is a mid-size crossover produced by Chrysler from 2003 to 2007, for the model years 2004 to 2008. The Pacifica was the first jointly engineered product of the 1998 DaimlerChrysler "merger of equals." Chrysler developed the vehicle in 30 months at a cost below $1 billion. The CUV was inspired by the 1999 Chrysler Pacifica and 2000 Chrysler Citadel concept cars. The production model was first introduced at the 2002 New York International Auto Show. The Dodge Daytona is an automobile which was produced by the Chrysler Corporation under their Dodge division from 1984 until 1993. It was a front-wheel drive hatchback based on the Chrysler G platform, which was derived from the Chrysler K platform. The Chrysler Laser was an upscale rebadged version of the Daytona. Windsor Assembly Plant (WAP) is a Stellantis Canada automobile factory in Windsor, Ontario. The factory opened in 1928 and Chrysler minivans production began in 1983. The New York International Auto Show is an annual auto show that is held in Manhattan in late March or early April. It is held at the Jacob Javits Convention Center. A concept car (also known as a concept vehicle, show vehicle or prototype) is a car made to showcase new styling and/or new technology. They are often exhibited at motor shows to gauge customer reaction to new and radical designs which may or may not be mass-produced. Chrysler Citadel
The Chrysler Citadel was a concept car created by Chrysler. It was shown at the 2000 Washington DC Auto Show. The Citadel was a hybrid with good performance and the inspiration for the production-model Pacifica. The Citadel name was later used for a trim level on the 2011 Dodge Durango. Chrysler Pacifica (1999 Concept Vehicle)
The Chrysler Pacifica was a concept luxury minivan created by DaimlerChrysler under the Chrysler marque in 1999. The Pacifica was built in commemoration of the Chrysler minivan's 15th anniversary and was intended to be a more upscale variant of the Town & Country with an LHS inspired front fascia and a raised roof, which included a skylight and overhead storage bins. It could seat up to six, with four front and rear captain's chairs and fold-out jump seats on each of the rear seats. The 2nd row seats featured power footrests. The concept also had a golf bag rack in the trunk space that could hold up to four golf bags. The name was eventually applied to a crossover, itself inspired by the Chrysler Citadel concept, which was produced from 2003 to 2008 and is currently being used on the replacement for the Town & Country minivan.
