Christopher Taylor (archaeologist)
Christopher Charles Taylor, (7 November 1935 – 28 May 2021) was a British archaeologist and landscape historian. He was Head of Archaeological Survey for the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments (RCHM) from 1985 to 1993, having worked as an investigator for the RCHM since 1960. Early life and education Taylor was born at Lichfield, Staffordshire, to agricultural engineer Richard Taylor and shopkeeper Alice (née Davis). He was educated at King Edward VI School, Lichfield, then at the University College of North Staffordshire (now Keele University), where he graduated in history and geography in 1958. Having worked whilst a student for the Commission on archaeological fieldwork (later part of English Heritage), he took a diploma in prehistory from the University of London before beginning work for the Commission full-time in 1960. Christopher "Chris" Taylor is a video game, board game and card game, developer originally from Southern California. Taylor is most famous for acting as lead designer for the original ''Fallout'' title for Interplay Entertainment, working alongside Tim Cain, Leonard Boyarsky and Jason Anderson. While at Interplay, Taylor contributed to the design of '' Star Trek: Starfleet Command'', '' Stonekeep'' and ''Fallout 2''. He also served as producer for ''The Lord of the Rings Online''. In 2005, Taylor and two other ''Fallout'' designers (Tom Decker and Scott Everts) founded Zero Radius Games, a board game and non-collectible card game development company. Christopher Taylor is a prominent United States, American pianist. Taylor graduated from Harvard College, and has performed with the National Symphony Orchestra (United States), National Symphony Orchestra, the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic, the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Buffalo Philharmonic, among others. He has received an Avery Fisher Career Grant, the Classical Fellowship of the American Pianists Association and the Gilmore Young Artist Award and earned a bronze medal at the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in 1993. Taylor lives in Middleton, Wisconsin, with his wife and two daughters, and has been a professor of piano at the University of Wisconsin–Madison since 2000. Christopher Taylor (born 1967) is an American attorney and politician who has served as the mayor of Ann Arbor, Michigan since 2014. He has earned four degrees from the University of Michigan, and served on the boards of directors of various Ann Arbor non-profit organizations before being elected to public office. In 2008, Taylor was elected to Ann Arbor City Council as a Democrat, on which he served a total of three terms before announcing his mayoral campaign in 2013. After winning a highly contested Democratic primary in August 2014, he was elected Mayor of Ann Arbor on November 4, 2014, winning 84.21% of the vote as he easily defeated independent candidate Bryan Kelly. Christopher Michael Taylor, professionally known as Sohn (stylised as SOHN), is an English singer, songwriter and record producer. Following the release of the 2012 EP ''The Wheel'' by Aesop, he was signed by 4AD. He released his first album, '' Tremors'', on 7 April 2014 followed by ''Rennen'' in January 2017 and ''Trust'' in November 2022. Career Taylor was born in South London and developed an early interest in music. After four albums, he dissolved his successful project Trouble Over Tokyo and reinvented himself as Sohn. In August 2010, he released the first two songs, "Warnings" and "Oscillate", under the Sohn name through his Soundcloud page.
