Christopher Perkins (game Designer)
Christopher Perkins (born February 29, 1968) is a Canadian American game designer and editor who is known for his work on Wizards of the Coast's ''Dungeons & Dragons'' role-playing game, currently as the senior story designer. Career Under the pen name "Christopher Zarathustra", Perkins got his career start in 1988 writing the adventure "Wards of Witching Ways" for ''Dungeon'' magazine #11. He later officially started working for Wizards of the Coast in 1997, beginning as the editor for ''Dungeon''. A few years later, he was promoted to editor-in-chief of Wizards periodicals. Perkins later became the senior producer for ''Dungeons & Dragons'', leading the team of designers, developers, and editors who make products for the ''Dungeons & Dragons'' role-playing game. Perkins was the story manager for ''Dungeons & Dragons'' in 2007 before the release of the game's fourth edition. It was released on March 15, 2016 and is based on the ''Ravenloft'' module published in 1983. A dungeon is a room or cell in which prisoners are held, especially underground. Dungeons are generally associated with medieval castles, though their association with torture probably belongs more to the Renaissance period. An oubliette (from french ''oublier'' meaning to ''forget'') or bottle dungeon is a basement room which is accessible only from a hatch or hole (an ''angstloch'') in a high ceiling. Victims in oubliettes were often left to starve and dehydrate to death, making the practice akin to—and some say an actual variety of—immurement. Geek & Sundry is a commercial YouTube and Twitch channel and multimedia production company. It was launched on April 2, 2012 by actress Felicia Day with Kim Evey and Sheri Bryant as part of YouTube's 100 million dollar original channel initiative. Critical Role
''Critical Role'' is an American web series in which a group of professional voice actors play ''Dungeons & Dragons''. The show started streaming partway through the cast's first campaign in March 2015. Campaign one ended in October 2017 after 115 episodes, and campaign two started in January 2018 and ended in June 2021 after 141 episodes. A number of one-shots were aired in the hiatus between the two campaigns. After campaign two was completed, the limited series ''Exandria Unlimited'' aired from June 2021 to August 2021. The third campaign premiered on October 21, 2021.
