Christine Minier (born 1964 in Saint-Raphaël, Var) is a French singer. In 1987 whilst working as a hairdresser, Christine Minier won the French National Final to represent France at the 1987 Eurovision Song Contest with the song " Les mots d'amour n'ont pas de dimanche". She received 44 points, placing France in 14th place. Saint-Raphaël, Var
Saint-Raphaël (; oc, Sant Rafèu ) is a commune in the Var department, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, Southeastern France. In 2017, it had a population of 35,042. Immediately to the west of Saint-Raphaël lies a larger and older town, Fréjus; together they form an urban agglomeration known as Var Estérel Méditerranée, which also encompasses the smaller communes of Les Adrets-de-l'Estérel, Puget-sur-Argens and Roquebrune-sur-Argens. The Eurovision Song Contest 1987 was the 32nd edition of the annual Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Brussels, Belgium, following the country's victory at the with the song "J'aime la vie" by Sandra Kim. Les Mots D'amour N'ont Pas De Dimanche
France was represented by Christine Minier, with the song "Les mots d'amour n'ont pas de dimanche", at the 1987 Eurovision Song Contest, which took place on 9 May in Brussels. Broadcaster Antenne 2 chose the song via a broadcast national final, which would prove to be the last French national final until 1999. At the time of her victory Minier was not a professional singer, nor did she subsequently launch a professional career. Cocktail Chic
Cocktail Chic were a French female singing group, best known for their participation in the 1986 Eurovision Song Contest. Although the Cocktail Chic name was a one-off for Eurovision, the group, consisting of sisters Dominique Poulain and Catherine Bonnevay and their cousins Francine Chanterau and Martine Latorre, had formed in the late 1960s, originally under the name of Les OP'4. They were spotted by singing star Claude François, who renamed them Les Fléchettes (after Flèche, his newly formed record label). Gérard Lenorman
Gérard Lenorman (born 9 February 1945) is a French singer-songwriter. Lenorman was born at the Château de Bénouville, Calvados (Normandy) when it was a maternity hospital. He is the son of Madeleine Lenormand and an unknown German soldier. Lenorman has four children with his ex-wife Caroline: Mathieu, Justine, Clémence and Victor. He released his first album in 1969. In 1988, he represented France in the Eurovision Song Contest in Dublin, Ireland, reaching tenth place with " Chanteur de charme". Lenorman was very popular in France and Francophonie, during the 1970s and early 1980s. In 1994, a compilation of his hits ''Vos plus belles chansons'' went gold in France. In 2007, he released a biography entitled ''Je suis né à vingt ans'' ("I was born at the age of 20") in which the singer explains the unknown identity of his father.
