Christina Van-Dunem Da Fonsech
Christina Jackbin Nanghali Van-Dunem Da Fonsech-Shikongo (born 1978) is a Namibian police officer. She holds the rank of chief inspector in the Namibian Police Force and is known as the "Nampol Iron Lady" for her role in establishing and revamping the community policing initiatives especially in the Khomas region. She is also known for cracking down fake pastors and unscrupulous traditional healers. Private life Born Christina Jackbin Nanghali Fonsech in Oshakati, her father is an Angolan trader and her mother is Namibian. She changed her surname in 2015 to Van-Dunem Da Fonsech, and added the surname of her husband Elia Shikongo in 2020. At an early age she felt abandoned and she never had an opportunity to be raised by her biological parents and she grew up without knowing her biological mother. The ''New Era'' is a daily national newspaper owned by the government of Namibia. Lieutenant General Sebastian Ndeitunga ( nom-de-guerre ''Haitota'') (born 1962) is the former Inspector General of the Namibian Police Force. He was appointed by president Hifikepunye Pohamba in 2005, succeeding Lucas Hangula. Ndeitunga is also the current vice president of the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) for Africa. When he retires in August 2022, Ndeitunga will be the longest serving police chief since Namibian independence. Samuel Shafiishuna Daniel Nujoma, (; born 12 May 1929) is a Namibian revolutionary, anti-apartheid activist and politician who served three terms as the first President of Namibia, from 1990 to 2005. Nujoma was a founding member and the first president of the South West Africa People's Organization (SWAPO) in 1960. Prior to 1960, SWAPO was known as the Ovambo People's Organisation (OPO). He played an important role as leader of the national liberation movement in campaigning for Namibia's political independence from South African rule. The Namibian Police Force (NAMPOL) is the national police force of Namibia. It was established by the Namibian Constitution and enacted by an act of Parliament of Namibia, Parliament.
