Christina Gerarda Enschedé
Christina Gerarda Ensched̩ (10 December 1791 Р6 March 1873) was a Dutch painter. Biography She was born in Haarlem as the fifth of nine children and the third daughter of Johannes Ensched̩ Jr. and Johanna Elisabeth Swaving. After her father's early death in 1799 she became a partner in the family business, but did not take an active part in the daily proceedings. She and her sister Sandrina took drawing lessons and were active in the theater societies of their mother. Haarlem (; predecessor of ''Harlem'' in English) is a city and municipality in the Netherlands. It is the capital of the province of North Holland. Teylers Museum () is an art, natural history, and science museum in Haarlem, Netherlands. Established in 1778, Teylers Museum was founded as a centre for contemporary art and science. The historic centre of the museum is the neoclassical Oval Room (1784), which was built behind the house of Pieter Teyler van der Hulst (1702–1778), the so-called ''Fundatiehuis'' (Foundation House). Jan van Walré (1759, Haarlem – 1837, Haarlem), was a 19th-century bookseller, poet, and playwright from the Northern Netherlands.
