Christian Solorio is an American politician and former member of the Arizona House of Representatives from the 30th district. Raquel Terán
Raquel Terán is an American politician serving as a member of the Arizona Senate from the 30th district. She previously served in the Arizona House of Representatives. Early life Terán was born in Douglas, Arizona. Her citizenship was challenged in court by an anti-immigration advocate in 2012, and again after her 2018 election. The lawsuits were both dismissed. Career Prior to being elected to the state legislature, Terán was a community organizer who was active in opposing Arizona SB 1070 that she believed had an " anti-immigrant sentiment." She was part of the successful recall of Russell Pearce, the primary sponsor of SB 1070, in 2011. Terán was elected in November 2018 to the Arizona House of Representatives, and she assumed office on January 14, 2019. In 2021, Terán was elected chair of the Arizona Democratic Party. Alhambra is an urban village of Phoenix, Arizona. Location Alhambra encompasses an area south of Northern Avenue, west of 7th Street, east of 43rd Avenue, and north of Grand Avenue or the Grand Canal. History The community's name was chosen by William John Murphy (1839–1923) to designate one of the four North Phoenix areas he sub-divided. It was built principally to satisfy the housing needs of a growing population in the aftermath of World War II. Many of those who moved to the area discovered it when they were stationed at Luke Air Force Base. The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Maricopa County, a county of over four million in Arizona. The five supervisors are each elected from single-member districts to serve four-year terms. Primary elections and general elections take place in years divisible by four.
