Christian Rynning-Tønnesen
Christian Wilhelm Rynning-Tønnesen (born 18 June 1959) is a Norwegian businessperson. He has spent most of his career in Statkraft, first holding various positions from 1992 to 2005, and then as CEO since 2010. He was CEO of Norske Skog from 2006 to 2010. Career Rynning-Tønnesen was born in Oslo, and grew up in Kristiansand and Bergen. His father Carl M. Rynning-Tønnesen and grandfather were both prominent chiefs of police in Kristiansand, but Rynning-Tønnesen is educated as a civil engineer at the Norwegian Institute of Technology. He started his professional career as a researcher at SINTEF, worked with product development in the company Esso Norway from 1985 to 1989, and then as a consultant at McKinsey & Company from 1989 to 1992. Ringstabekk
Ringstabekk is a district in Bærum, Norway. Named after the local farm, the district is also known for its schools and the sports field. The sports club Stabæk IF originates in the area. The farm The district originates from the farm Øvre Stabæk ('Upper Stabæk'), one of several farms in the Stabekk area. Antiquities from ancient times, such as axes and arrowheads, have been found there. The farm was owned by Hovedøya Monastery before the Reformation of 1536, and thereafter by the Crown. In 1661 it was registered with a private owner, and a series of owners followed until Jens Ring bought the farm in 1839. The farm was renamed Ring-Stabekk, or Ringstabekk, after Jens Ring. In 1826 it had been registered with three horses, ten cattle and twelve sheep. In 1851 Jens Ring was behind the construction of "The Castle", a Neogothic brick building, drawn by architect Heinrich Ernst Schirmer. Bård Martin Mikkelsen (born 31 May 1948) is a Norwegian businessperson. He has been the chief executive officer of Widerøe (1988–1997), the Ulstein Group (1997–1999), Oslo Energi Holding (1999–2001) and Statkraft (2001–2010). Biography He was born in Oslo, but grew up in Sarpsborg, in the neighborhood Hafslund. His father spent his career in the company Hafslund. Bård Mikkelsen took his education at the Befalsskolen for Kavaleriet and Norwegian Military Academy, and worked in the Norwegian Army, among others in Hærens Fallskjermjegerskole. As a continuation of this he has been an active skydiver, and in 1986 he became an instructor in tandem skydiving. His last dive was in 1994 over Antarctica.
