Christian H. Jost is a French geographer. Christian (Henri) Jost is Professor Emeritus at University de Lorraine (France) and Researcher at the Center for Insular Research and Observatory of the EnvironmentCRIOBE one of France's leading laboratories for the study of coral ecosystems. He was Professor of Geography and Development at the University of French Polynesia from 2011 to 2018UPF in Tahiti (Fr). University Of New Caledonia
The University of New Caledonia UNC (''Université de la Nouvelle-Calédonie'') is a French university which is part of the Academy of New Caledonia located in Nouméa. The university goes back to 1987 when the ''Université Française du Pacifique'' (French University of the Pacific) was created, with two centres, one in French Polynesia and the other in New Caledonia. In 1997, the decision was made to split the two parts into separate universities and so in 1999 the ''Université de la Nouvelle Calédonie'' and the '' Université de la Polynésie Française'' were created. UNC hosts around 3,000 local and international students with a staff of about 100 professors and researchers and 100 administrative employees each year. The University of French Polynesia (french: Université de la Polynésie française) is a French university located in Puna'auia, French Polynesia. History Created by a decree of May 29, 1987, the university was originally called French Pacific University and was split between two sites, one located in New Caledonia (now University of New Caledonia) and the other in Tahiti. Clipperton Island ( or ; ) is an uninhabited, coral atoll in the eastern Pacific Ocean. It is from Paris, France, from Papeete, Tahiti, and from Mexico. It is an overseas state private property of France under direct authority of the Minister of the Overseas. Masked Booby
The masked booby (''Sula dactylatra''), also called the masked gannet or the blue-faced booby, is a large seabird of the booby and gannet family, Sulidae. First described by the French naturalist René-Primevère Lesson in 1831, the masked booby is one of six species of booby in the genus '' Sula''. It has a typical sulid body shape, with a long pointed yellowish bill, long neck, aerodynamic body, long slender wings and pointed tail. The adult is bright white with black wings, a black tail and a dark face mask; at long, it is the largest species of booby. The sexes have similar plumage. This species ranges across tropical oceans, except in the eastern Atlantic and eastern Pacific. In the latter, it is replaced by the Nazca booby (''Sula granti''), which was formerly regarded as a subspecies of masked booby.
