Christian Grøvlen
Christian Hundsnes Grøvlen (born 14 March 1990 in Bergen, Norway) is a Norwegian classical pianist, composer and director at KODE Composers Homes, educated at the Norwegian Academy of Music, Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Wien and the Royal Danish Conservatory of Music. Biography Grøvlen was born and raised in Bergen, where he picked up playing the piano with "Marianne Musikkskole" at 5 years of age. At the age of 13, he became a student at the newly started talent development program 'Young Musicians' at Griegakademiet, University of Bergen (2003-2009). When he was 15 he started studies under Professor Jiří Hlinka before he attended the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo, Norway, under guidance of Håvard Gimse and Lars Anders Tomter. Bergen (), historically Bjørgvin, is a city and municipality in Vestland county on the west coast of Norway. , its population is roughly 285,900. Bergen is the second-largest city in Norway. Håvard Gimse
Håvard Gimse (born 15 September 1966) is a Norwegian classical pianist from Kongsvinger, and the brother of the cellist Øyvind Gimse. He has received the Griegprisen (1996) and the Steinway Award (1995). Gimse has done several recordings for Naim Audio, Naxos Records, Sony Classical Records, Chandos Records and Simax catalog, Simax. Career Gimse is described as one of Norway's leading musicians, with a bold and expansive repertoire, and an impressive list of 30 performed piano concertos. He is much sought after as a concert pianist, as well as an accompanist for many of Scandinavia's finest artists. After earning his diploma at the Hochschule der Künste Berlin in 1995 (Leygraf), he continued his studies with the revered piano professor Jiri Hlinka in Norway. The Norwegian National Opera and Ballet ( no, Den Norske Opera & Ballett, links=no) is a Norwegian opera company and ballet company. The first fully professional company each for opera and ballet in Norway and the only such professional organisation in the country, it is currently resident at the Oslo Opera House, since the spring of 2008. Robert Levin (6 June 191229 October 1996) was a Norway, Norwegian european classical music, classical pianist and composer. Although he was an accomplished solo pianist and composer, Levin received international acclaim for his work as an Accompaniment, accompanist with several of the world's most celebrated vocal and instrumental performers. Background Levin was born in Kristiania (now Oslo), Norway. He grew up in the immigrant neighborhood in Grünerløkka, the child of David Levin (1882–1936) and Marie Scheer (1885–1954). Both were Jewish refugees from Lithuania who had immigrated in 1905. Levin's father supported his family through various means, including peddling sewing Notion (accessory), notions and carting coal.
