Chris Tanzey
Christopher Bernard Tanzey (born 6 March 1957) is an English-Australian former Association football, footballer and Manager (association football), manager. Career In his playing career, Tanzey was a professional with Liverpool F.C., Liverpool, playing for the club's Liverpool F.C. Reserves and Academy, reserve side. He then played in Australia for Canberra Olympic FC, Downer Olympic in the National Premier Leagues Capital Football, ACT League, and later Griffith City FC and Tuggeranong United FC, Tuggeranong United. He also played futsal for the Canberra Strikers in Australia's National Indoor Soccer League. He represented Australia national futsal team, Australia at the 1985 AMF Futsal World Cup, FIFUSA Futsal World Cup in Spain. The National Premier Leagues Capital Football 1 (also known as NPL ACT 1 or simply NPL1) is a soccer competition contested by clubs affiliated to Capital Football. The league is the highest level (level 1) competition in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) region. 2003–04 NSW Premier League Season
The 2003–04 NSW Premier League season was the fourth season of the revamped NSW Premier League. The Belconnen Blue Devils took out the minor premiership on 47 competition points, after having a superior goal difference over second placed St George Saints. However, the Devils lost two of three games in the finals series, including the grand final 2–0 to Bankstown City Lions. Thus, the Lions were the premiers for the 2003–04 NSW Premier League season. Throughout the season many Premier League, Super League, Division One and Division Two teams competed in a newly formed FA Cup-style knockout competition called the Continental Tyres Cup in which the Sydney Crescent Star were crowned champions after defeating Bonnyrigg White Eagles in a penalty shootout at Gabbie Stadium.
