Christopher Ryan (born Christopher Papazoglou; 25 January 1950) is a British actor best known for his roles as Mike TheCoolPerson in the BBC comedy series '' The Young Ones'', Dave Hedgehog in the BBC comedy series ''Bottom'', Tony Driscoll in the BBC comedy series ''Only Fools and Horses'', and as Edina Monsoon's ex-husband Marshall Turtle in the BBC sitcom ''Absolutely Fabulous''. He has also appeared as the McKendrick twins in ''One Foot in the Grave'', and played Sontaran General Staal in '' Doctor Who'' in 2008. Colin Armstrong (born 1961), usually known by the pseudonym and pen-name of Chris Ryan, is an author, television presenter, security consultant and former Special Air Service sergeant. After the publication of fellow patrol member Andy McNab's ''Bravo Two Zero'' in 1993, Ryan published his own account of his experiences during the Bravo Two Zero mission in 1995, entitled '' The One That Got Away''. While this has led to a very successful career in writing, both his and McNab's accounts of the Bravo Two Zero mission have been heavily criticised by their fellow patrol members and questioned by other SAS members about their authenticity. Chris Ryan (born 3 January 1973) is a former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1990s. Ryan's position of choice was as a or on the . He played for the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles and the Western Reds/ Perth Reds in Australia. In the Super League he played for the London Broncos. Career He made his first grade debut for Manly-Warringah in round 9 1992 against Canterbury-Bankstown which finished in a 20–20 draw at Brookvale Oval. Ryan played in Manly's finals campaigns in 1993 and 1994 which both ended in defeat by the Brisbane Broncos. In 1995, Ryan joined the newly admitted Western Reds franchise. Christopher Ryan (born February 13, 1962) is an American author best known for co-authoring the book '' Sex at Dawn'' (2010). Biography He received a B.A. in English and American literature in 1984, and an M.A. and Ph.D. in psychology from Saybrook University, an accredited hybrid low-residency/online learning program based in San Francisco, twenty years later. His master's thesis examined differences in specific personality measures between working fashion models and the general public. His doctoral dissertation analyzed the prehistoric roots of human sexuality, and was guided by the psychologist Stanley Krippner, a humanistic psychologist, with additional committee members Sabrina Zirkel and Jürgen W. Kremer. Christopher "Christy" Ryan (25 December 1899 – 22 February 1978) was an Irish hurler who played as a right wing-back for the Limerick senior team. Keane made his first appearance for the team in a tournament game in late 1918 and was a regular member of the starting fifteen until his retirement after the 1930 championship. During that time he won one All-Ireland medal and one Munster medal. At club level Ryan enjoyed a lengthy career with Pallasgreen. Ryan hailed from a family with a close association with Gaelic games. His uncles, Tom, John and James Barry won All-Ireland medals with London in 1901. Christopher D. Ryan (18 August 1957 – 8 February 2021) was an Irish Gaelic footballer, Hurling, hurler and coach. As a dual player for club and county, he played in several positions including as a defensive centre-back, in midfield, or as a target man in attack. Ryan has been described as one of Cork GAA, Cork's most decorated club players of all time.
