Chris Lang
Chris Lang (born 1961) is a British screenwriter, producer and actor. Lang has written for many British television series but is best known as the writer, creator and executive producer of ''Unforgotten''. Career Actor He trained at RADA, graduating in 1983, after winning the Royal Academy award for 'A Series of Outstanding Performances in the Vanbrugh Theatre'. As an actor he worked on such British television series as ''Shadow of the Noose'', ''Drop the Dead Donkey'', ''Outside Edge (television series), Outside Edge'', ''A Dance to the Music of Time'' and ''All Along the Watchtower (TV series), All Along the Watchtower''. In his youth, he formed a comedy revue called ''The Jockeys of Norfolk'' with Andy Taylor and Hugh Grant, but stopped acting in the mid nineties in order to fully concentrate on his writing career. Lambeth () is a district in South London, England, in the London Borough of Lambeth, historically in the County of Surrey. It is situated south of Charing Cross. The Writers' Guild of Great Britain (WGGB), established in 1959, is a trade union for professional writers. It is affiliated with both the Trades Union Congress (TUC) and the International Affiliation of Writers Guilds (IAWG). History The union was founded in 1959 as the Television and Screen Writers' Guild (commonly known as the Screen Writers' Guild), the successor to the Screenwriters' Association dating back to 1938. Lawless (British TV Series)
''Lawless'' is a two-part British television thriller miniseries, first broadcast on ITV from 8 to 9 November 2004. Written by Chris Lang, directed by Roger Gartland and starring Trevor Eve, Orla Brady and David Calder, ''Lawless'' follows the story of DI John Paxton, who begins to question his job when a murderer walks free from court because of a legal technicality. The two-part miniseries was commissioned in 2003, along with another two-part miniseries written by Lang, '' Amnesia''. The miniseries gathered good viewing figures, with the first part watched by 7.17 million, and the second by 5.65 million. Unlike ''Amnesia'', the series has never been released on DVD. Sarah-Jane Abigail Lancashire (born 10 October 1964) is an English actress from Oldham, England.
