Chris Barns
Chris Barns, nickamed "Brolga", is an Australian kangaroo carer. He is the founder of the Kangaroo Sanctuary in Alice Springs and was featured in the 2013 BBC documentary series ''Kangaroo Dundee''. Barns and the Kangaroo Sanctuary came to international attention when Roger, one of the earlier kangaroos which he adopted, went viral for his muscular physique. Early life Barns grew up in Perth in Western Australia, in the 1970s and was a shy child who did not excel in school. He partially attributes this to being 6 feet (182cms) tall by his early teens. Barns left home at the age of 17 to work as a zoo keeper in Broome, going to work at several wildlife parks before starting work as a tour guide. Kangaroo
Kangaroos are four marsupials from the family Macropodidae (macropods, meaning "large foot"). In common use the term is used to describe the largest species from this family, the red kangaroo, as well as the antilopine kangaroo, eastern grey kangaroo, and western grey kangaroo. Kangaroos are indigenous to Australia and New Guinea. Alice Springs
Alice Springs ( aer, Mparntwe) is the third-largest town in the Northern Territory of Australia. Known as Stuart until 31 August 1933, the name Alice Springs was given by surveyor William Whitfield Mills after Alice, Lady Todd (''née'' Alice Gillam Bell), wife of the telegraph pioneer Sir Charles Todd. Roger (kangaroo)
Roger (–2018) was an Australian red kangaroo best known for his muscular physique. Life Roger was rescued as a joey by Chris 'Brolga' Barns after Roger's mother was killed by a car. Barns started the Kangaroo Sanctuary on in Alice Springs to house and protect Roger and other roos, including Roger's mates. Barns stated following the announcement of Roger's death that "Roger was the sanctuary's alpha male for many years". Roger grew to be and around . In videos Roger can be seen chasing Barns, who, like all other males, Roger saw as a threat to his harem. Roger first came to fame in 2015 in a video that went viral, showing a bucket he was said to have crushed. In 2016, Barns announced that Roger was suffering from arthritis. Broome, also known as Rubibi by the Yawuru people, is a coastal pearling and tourist town in the Kimberley region of Western Australia, north of Perth. In the the population was recorded as 14,660. Uluru

Marsupials are any members of the mammalian infraclass Marsupialia. All extant marsupials are endemic to Australasia, Wallacea and the Americas. Curtin Springs
Curtin Springs is a pastoral lease operating as a cattle station in the Alice Springs region of the Northern Territory of Australia. Occupying an area of , the working cattle station and roadhouse facility is located on the Lasseter Highway, east of Yulara and the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. The property shares a boundary with pastoral leases Angas Downs to the north west, Lyndavale to the south east and Mulga Park to the south. It also abuts the Katiti Aboriginal Land Trust to the west. The land was originally known as Mount Conner Station in the 1930s when it was first taken up by Paddy DeConlay. Abraham Andrews leased Mt Conner Station, together with vacant crown land, which became known as Curtin Springs Station around 1956, after John Curtin.
