Rajkumar Roat
Rajkumar Roat (born 26 June 1992) is an Indian politician and a two-time MLA from Chorasi Assembly constituency, Chorasi constituency. He founded the Bharat Adivasi Party, Bharat Adivasi Party (BAP) in 2023 after leaving Bharatiya Tribal Party, Bhartiya Tribal Party. In 2023 he was elected as MLA winning by 69,166 votes. Early life He was born in Dungarpur district, Dungarpur, Rajasthan. He belongs to Bhil people, Bhil tribal community. Political career Roat was elected as the youngest MLA in the 2018 Rajasthan Legislative Assembly election. Bharat Adivasi Party
The Bharat Adivasi Party (abbreviated as BAP) is a political party based in Rajasthan, India. The party was formed by former Bharatiya Tribal Party MLA Rajkumar Roat in 10 September 2023. The Bharat Adivasi Party won three seats in the 2023 Rajasthan Legislative Assembly election and one seat in the 2023 Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly election. 2023 Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Election
Legislative Assembly elections were held in Rajasthan on 25 November 2023 to elect 199 of the 200 members of Rajasthan Legislative Assembly. The results were declared on 3 December 2023. The election for the Karanpur seat was adjourned following the death of Congress candidate Gurmeet Singh Kooner. The BJP wrested power by winning 115 seats, unseating the Indian National Congress from power and continuing the trend of governments changing every five years in the state. A Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) is a representative elected by the voters of an electoral district (constituency) to the legislature of State government in the Indian system of government. From each constituency, the people elect one representative who then becomes a member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA). 2013 Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Election
Legislative Assembly elections were held in the Indian state of Rajasthan on 1 December 2013. Results were announced on 8 December. The incumbent ruling party Indian National Congress, led by the Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, lost the elections to Vasundhara Raje-led BJP, who was being touted as the next incumbent. Pre-poll surveys Election Polling was held on 1 December in 199 assembly seats out of 200 seats. Churu constituency polling was postponed to 13 December due to death of BSP candidate Jagdish Meghwal. The Indian National Congress became the single largest party with 100 seats, short of majority by 1 seat. The Bharatiya Janata Party won 73 seats, much lower compared to the previous election in which it won an absolute majority of 163 seats.
