He is known for his frequent use of dark piano melodies in his beats. His name is derived from being the in-house DJ for record producer Young Chop's record label, ChopSquad. Jamell Maurice Demons (born May 1, 1999), known professionally as YNW Melly (initialism for Young Nigga World Melly), is an American rapper and singer.
