Chloe Arthur
Chloe Susan Arthur (born 21 January 1995) is a Scottish footballer who plays as a midfielder for Crystal Palace in the FA Women's Championship and the Scotland national team. Club career Arthur broke into the Celtic first team aged 17, coming through the club's Youth Academy. In December 2014, Arthur transferred together with Heather Richards from Celtic to Hibernian, where she was part of the team that reached the Scottish Cup final and finished second in the league. In January 2016, after a year in Edinburgh, she joined Bristol City in the FA WSL 2. On 14 February, she scored on her Bristol debut in a 7–1 win against Queens Park Rangers in the FA Cup. FA Women's Championship
The Women's Championship (formerly The FA Women's Championship) is the second-highest division of women's football in England. The division was established in 2014 as the FA Women's Super League 2 (WSL 2). WSL 2 replaced the previous level 2 division, the FA Women's Premier League National Division, FA Women's Premier League (WPL) National Division, which ended after the 2012–13 FA Women's Premier League, 2012–13 season. The WPL's last national division champions, Sunderland A.F.C. Women, were not promoted and also became the first winners of WSL 2 in the 2014 FA WSL#FA WSL 2, 2014 season. 2013 Glasgow Helicopter Crash
On 29 November 2013, a police helicopter operated by Bond Air Services for Police Scotland crashed into The Clutha, a pub in central Glasgow, killing all three crew on board and seven patrons of the pub. Thirty-one more people in the pub were injured. The subsequent investigation concluded that the cause of the crash was fuel starvation due to incorrect operation of the fuel system. Accident The helicopter took off from its base at Glasgow City Heliport (which at the time operated from Stobcross Quay adjacent to the SECC) at 20:45 on 29 November 2013. The pilot was 51-year-old David Traill; Traill had flown Chinook helicopters in the RAF for 20 years, latterly as an instructor. Faroe Islands Women's National Football Team
The Faroe Islands women's national football team represents the Faroe Islands in women's association football and is controlled by the Faroe Islands Football Association (FSF), the governing body of all football in the Faroe Islands. The FSF became a member of International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) in 1988 and Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) in 1990. By population it remains the fourth smallest member of UEFA, which encompasses the countries of Europe. The women's team played their first FIFA-sanctioned international match in 1995 and have never advanced to the finals of the FIFA Women's World Cup or UEFA Women's Championship. The 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup was the eighth edition of the FIFA Women's World Cup, the quadrennial international Women's association football championship contested by 24 women's national teams representing member associations of FIFA. It took place between 7 June and 7 July 2019, with 52 matches staged in nine cities in France, which was awarded the right to host the event in March 2015, the first time the country hosted the tournament. The tournament was the first Women's World Cup to use the video assistant referee (VAR) system. UEFA Women's Euro 2017
The 2017 UEFA European Women's Championship, commonly referred to as UEFA Women's Euro 2017, was the 12th edition of the UEFA Women's Championship, the quadrennial international football championship organised by UEFA for the women's national teams of Europe. The competition was expanded to 16 teams (from 12 teams in the previous edition). The Netherlands were declared as hosts by the UEFA Executive Committee on 4 December 2014. Germany's 22-year reign as champions of Europe was ended after losing 1–2 to Denmark in the quarter-finals. In addition it was only Germany's second loss in the finals since 1993. Northern Ireland Women's National Football Team
The Northern Ireland women's national football team represents Northern Ireland in international women's football. Although most national football teams represent a sovereign state, FIFA statutes permit Northern Ireland as a member of the United Kingdom's Home Nations to maintain its own national side that competes in all major tournaments, with the exception of the Women's Olympic Football Tournament. The team were the lowest UEFA-ranked team (27th) to qualify for the European Championships Finals in England in 2022. The Women's FA Challenge Cup Competition is the top annual cup tournament for women's clubs in English football. Founded in 1970, it has been named the WFA Cup, FA Women's Cup and now Women's FA Cup (Vitality Women's FA Cup for sponsorship reasons).
