Chitumbo Mwali
Chitumbo Mwali (born 1986) is a Zambian chess player. He was awarded the tile of International Master in 2007. Chess career He won the African Junior Chess Championship in 2006, and earned the silver medal on board four in the 2007 All-Africa Games. After winning the Zambian Chess World Cup Qualifier in 2021, he qualified to play in the Chess World Cup 2021. Pre-tournament favourite Andrew Kayonde, trailing by 1.5 points with two rounds to go and a game in hand against IM Chitumbo Mwali, pulled out after accusing the other 5 players of colluding to deliberately lose against Mwali. In the first round at the World Cup, Chitumbo lost the first game against the much higher-rated Haik M. Martirosyan before winning the second game to take the encounter to tiebreaks, where he was defeated 2-0 in the rapid games. Mustafa Yılmaz
Mustafa Yılmaz (born 5 November 1992) is a Turkish chess player who received the FIDE title of Grandmaster (GM) in September 2012. He is a three-time Turkish Chess Champion. He earned the titles of FIDE Master (FM) in 2008 and International Master (IM) in 2009. He is a native of Mamak in Ankara. Yılmaz began playing chess at the age of seven, encouraged by his older sister Ezgi Yılmaz, also a Turkish chess champion. He attended the same chess course in Mamak, Ankara with Kübra Öztürk, who became a Woman Grandmaster (WGM). In 2008, Yılmaz was admitted to the Turkish national chess team. 2023 Chess World Cup
The Chess World Cup 2023 was a 206-player single-elimination chess tournament that took place in Baku, Azerbaijan from 30 July to 24 August 2023. It was the 10th edition of the Chess World Cup. The top three finishers in the tournament qualified for the 2024 Candidates Tournament. The tournament was held in parallel with the Women's Chess World Cup 2023. Jan-Krzysztof Duda was the defending champion. He lost in the fifth round (last 16) to Fabiano Caruana. Format The tournament was an eight-round knockout event, with the top 50 seeds having been given a bye directly into the second round. The losers of the two semi-finals played a match for third place. International Master

Andrew Kayonde is a Zambian chess player. He was awarded the title of International Master in 2016. Chess career Kayonde won the Zambian Chess Championship six times in 2009, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018.
