Chit Naing is a Burmese politician, writer and Minister of Union Government Office. He previously served as a former Minister of Information. Early life and education He was born in December 1948 in Kyi Ni Village, Chauk Township, Magway Division. He studied basic education at Government Middle School in Kyi Ni village, No (11) High School in Chauk.He attended Mandalay University of Arts and Sciences (MASU) and he holds a bachelor's degree in psychology. Service life Military services He joined the military in 1971 after graduated in 1970. He served in Lashio, Mingalardon, Nawnghkio, Bahtoo and Kalaw. He has served in Shan State for over 17 years. Literature From August 1995 to November 1997, he served as the Executive Editor-in-Chief of the Myawaddy Literature House, which deals with the military. Nawnghkio, variously spelt Naunghkio, Naungcho or Nawngcho, is a town in Kyaukme District, in northern Shan State, Burma. It is the principal town and administrative seat of Nawnghkio Township. It is connected to Mandalay, Pyin U Lwin, Kyaukme, Hsipaw and Lashio by road and rail and by road to Taunggyi via National Road 43. Asia World Company won the contract to rebuild part of the road in 2002. Originally on the Mandalay-Lashio Road, after Pyin U Lwin and before Kyaukme, Nawnghkio is on what is now the Mandalay-Muse Road, part of the Asian Highway Route 14 (AH14). Approximately of land in the area were reclaimed and allotted to coffee growers in 1999–2000. Women of reproductive age (15-49) in Kyaukme and Nawnghkio have been targeted for improvement in reproductive health in the community in collaboration with Japan. 2021 Myanmar Coup D'état
A coup d'état in Myanmar began on the morning of 1 February 2021, when democratically elected members of the country's ruling party, the National League for Democracy (NLD), were deposed by the Tatmadaw—Myanmar's military—which then vested power in a military junta. Acting president Myint Swe proclaimed a year-long state of emergency and declared power had been transferred to Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Min Aung Hlaing. It declared the results of the November 2020 general election invalid and stated its intent to hold a new election at the end of the state of emergency. Myanmar National Literature Awards ( my, အမျိုးသား စာပေဆု) are awards presented to a Burmese author who has published a particularly lauded piece or body of work.
