Chirkut
Chirkutt is a Bangladeshi rock band from Dhaka, formed in 2002. It consists of vocalist Sharmin Sultana Sumi, guitarist Emon Chowdhury, keyboards player Jahid Nirob and drummer Pavel Areen. History This band was formed in 2002 by Sharmin Sultana Sumi. Emon Chowdhury joined in 2005, Pavel Areen joined in 2008 and Jahid Nirob joined in 2015. Eight years after the band was formed they released their first album ''Chirkuttnama''. Chirkutt's performed at SXSW-2016 in Austin, USA and South Asian Band Festival-Delhi, India, the President house concert in India-2014, India Music Week and the Jaffna Music Festival, Sri Lanka. They were also the winners of the RTV Best Band Award 2012. Chirkutt band has also embarked for a tour in Norway with Norwegian rockers Casa Murilo in 2013. They performed on Asian TV music show in September 2016. Sharmin Sultana Sumi
Sharmin Sultana Sumi (better known as Sumi) is a Bangladeshi singer, songwriter, composer, playback singer. She is a lead vocalist and founding member of the band Chirkutt. She started the band in 2002. Sumi becomes first-ever Bangladeshi to participate in Womex 21. She is the only Bangladeshi singer on the summit's list and will also be the first-ever Bangladeshi to represent the country at the world's largest music summit. Early life Sumi was born in Khulna. She moved to Dhaka to study where she completed graduation from Dhaka University. Career Sumi formed Chirkutt in 2002. In addition to being the band's main vocalist, she is the writer and composer of most of their songs. She has written lyrics and music for other artists. Jahid Nirob
Jahid Nirob (জাহিদ নিরব) born 21 October 1994 is a Bangladeshi singer and music composer best known as the member of the rock band Chirkutt. Nirob began his career when he participated in the contemporary reality show, Nescafe Get Set Rock in 2011, but didn't receive widespread recognition before joining Chirkutt in 2015. Career Playing harmonium with the song "Duniyaa" from the cinema '' Aynabaji'' was the commencing point of Jahid Nirob's journey to Chirkutt. Pavel Areen, the drummer & producer of Chirkutt band, was the pathfinder of Nirob's peregrination with Chirkutt. After joining Chirkutt, Jahid Nirob exuviated  all of his existing work and started working with the band dedicatedly. Amitabh Reza Chowdhury
Amitabh Reza Chowdhury ( bn, অমিতাভ রেজা চৌধুরী) is a Bangladeshi filmmaker. In his career, he has directed nearly fifteen hundred (1500) television commercials (henceforth TVCs). Amitabh has also directed a few television films to critical acclaim. He founded the production house 'half stop down', which mainly produces TVCs. Amitabh's directorial debut in theatrical feature film is ''Aynabaji'' which was released on 30 September 2016. Early life Chowdhury was born to a middle-class family in 1976.
