Chiqllaqucha (Ancash)
Chequiacocha (possibly from Quechua language, Quechua ''chiqlla'' green, ''qucha'' lake, "green lake") is a lake in Peru located in the Ancash Region, Carhuaz Province, Shilla District. Chequiacocha is situated at the very end of the Auquiscocha ravine, between the mountain Chequiaraju in the northwest and the Hualcán in the southeast, south of Huallcacocha and northeast of Auquiscocha. Ancash Region
Ancash ( qu, Anqash; es, Áncash ) is a department and region in northern Peru. It is bordered by the departments of La Libertad on the north, Huánuco and Pasco on the east, Lima on the south, and the Pacific Ocean on the west. Its capital is the city of Huaraz, and its largest city and port is Chimbote. The name of the region originates from the Quechua word ('light, of little weight'), from ('blue') or from ('eagle'). Carhuaz Province
The Carhuaz Province is one of twenty provinces of the Ancash Region of Peru. Geography The Cordillera Blanca traverses the province. Waskaran, its highest elevation, lies on the border to the Yungay Province. Pallqarahu, Pukaranra, Qupa, Tuqllarahu, Wallqan and Yanarahu belong to the highest peaks of the province. Hualcán (also called Rajopaquinan) (possibly from Quechua ''wallqa, walqa'', ''-n'' a suffix) is a mountain in the Cordillera Blanca in the Andes of Peru, about high. It is located in Ancash, between Chacas (in Asunción Province) and Carhuaz ( Carhuaz Province) districts. Hualcán lies south-east of Chequiaraju.
