''Chinna Thambi'' is a 2017 Indian Tamil-language soap opera starring Prajin and Pavani Reddy. It started airing on 2 October 2017 till 21 June 2019 on Vijay TV for 442 episodes. It is a remake of Bengali language serial ''Khokababu''. The story about the relationship of an innocent village boy as Chinna Thambi and an arrogant city girl as Nandhini, who fall in love after Marriage. Plot It is a story about Chinna Thambi (Prajin), an innocent village boy from Chinnalapatty who falls in love with Nandhini (Pavani Reddy), an arrogant girl from Chennai. Chinna Thambi is very naive, having moral values. He obeys his mother Annalakshmi sternly and loves his family. The Vijay Television Awards are an awards ceremony held to honour the cast and crew of Tamil soap operas and other shows which air on Vijay TV. This is the second time in the Tamil television industry where awards are given for performances in television serials and shows. The first edition of the awards show was held on 24 May 2014; the second one was held on 19 September 2015. Nominations Jurors select five nominees in each award category from among the shows that air on Vijay TV. Khushbu Sundar (born Nakhat Khan; 29 September 1970) is an Indian actress, politician, film producer and television presenter. Prabhu Ganesan (born 25 December 1956), known professionally as Prabhu, is an Indian actor, businessman and film producer who predominantly works in Tamil cinema. He is the son of veteran actor Sivaji Ganesan. He is popularly known as ''Ilaya Thilagam''. ''Chinna Thambi'' () is a 1991 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film written and directed by P. Vasu. The film stars Prabhu as the titular character, an uneducated village simpleton and Khushbu as Nandini, a homeschooled wealthy girl. Manorama, Radha Ravi, Uday Prakash, Rajeshkumar, and Goundamani play supporting roles. The music was composed by Ilaiyaraaja, and the film released on 12 April 1991.
