The Chinese Taipei Basketball Association (CTBA; ) is the governing body of basketball in Taiwan (Republic of China). Its official name in Chinese is Republic of China Basketball Association (). The CTBA is a member of FIBA and FIBA Asia. The federation is responsible for the Chinese Taipei men's national basketball team and the Chinese Taipei women's national basketball team and their Under-age teams. The Chinese Taipei men's national basketball team is the men's basketball team representing the Republic of China on Taiwan in international competitions, organised and run by the Chinese Taipei Basketball Association (CTBA; ). The team was known as Formosa prior to the implementation of the Nagoya Resolution in 1981. William Jones Cup
The R. William Jones Cup (), also known as the Jones Cup, is an international basketball tournament organized by the Chinese Taipei Basketball Association (CTBA) held annually since 1977 in Taiwan. It was named in honor of basketball promoter Renato William Jones, who was one of the founders of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA). Like the Olympics and the FIBA Basketball World Cup, it has both men's and women's versions.
