Chinese Burn (song)
"Chinese Burn" is a 1997 song by the alternative rock band Curve. It was the first single from their third studio album '' Come Clean'', and was released on 18 November 1997 in the US and on 1 December 1997 in the UK. This song is featured in the 1999 '' Buffy the Vampire Slayer'' episode, " Bad Girls", the '' La Femme Nikita'' TV show soundtrack, as well as the first theatrical trailer for the film ''X-Men'' (2000) and the trailer for '' Torque (2004)''. It also featured in the wrecking yard fight scene of the 2006 movie ''Stormbreaker''. A portion of the Lunatic Calm remix was included as a music track in the game ''FIFA 2001''. In August 2020, Bandcamp premiered a collection of mixes of "Chinese Burn" that were originally recorded to DAT. These were mostly monitor mixes and instrumentals of the tracks "Chinese Burn", "Coming Up Roses", "Killer Baby" and "Dirty High". Curve (band)
Curve were an English alternative rock and electronic music duo from London, formed in 1990 and split in 2005. The band consisted of Toni Halliday (vocals, occasionally guitar) and Dean Garcia (bass, guitar, drums, programming). Halliday wrote the lyrics of their songs and they both contributed to songwriting. Producer Alan Moulder was a prominent collaborator who helped shape their blend of heavy beats and densely–layered guitar tracks set against Halliday's vocals. ''FIFA 2001'' (known as ''FIFA 2001: Major League Soccer'' in North America and ''FIFA 2001: World Championship'' in Japan) is a football simulation video game and the sequel to ''FIFA 2000''. It was succeeded by ''FIFA Football 2002''. It features Paul Scholes on the UK cover and Ben Olsen on the North American cover. The game's Spanish cover features Gaizka Mendieta on it. It was released on 30 October 2000 for Microsoft Windows, 8 November 2000 for PlayStation, and 24 November 2000 for PlayStation 2 (a launch title in Europe). A Game Boy Color version was planned but cancelled. The game was given positive reviews. Reception The game received positive reviews, GameRankings holds an score of 85.50% for PlayStation, 84.60% for PC, and 82.57% for PlayStation 2, Metacritic utilizes an 85 for the PlayStation & PC, and an 83 for the PlayStation 2. Lunatic Calm were an English electronic music group formed in 1996. Despite a wide-ranging sound palette, the group was best known for their high impact, industrial-tinged big beat compositions. History Formed in 1996 and composed of Simon "sHack" Shackleton and Howard "Howie" Saunders, they released two well received albums, as well as several singles and a wide range of remixes.
