China Youth Corps
The China Youth Corps (; until 2000: ), often known simply as CYC (), is a youth organization in the Republic of China. The CYC was established in 1952, on the recommendation of the then president Chiang Kai-shek; its first chairperson was his son Chiang Ching-Kuo. The original purpose of the CYC was to provide basic military training to youths before they were conscripted into the Nationalist armed forces. At that time the CYC was very much a quasi-governmental, quasi-political organization with close ties to the Kuomintang regime, similar in many ways to the Communist Youth League of the People's Republic of China. Pan-Blue Coalition
The pan-Blue coalition, pan-Blue force or pan-Blue groups is a political coalition in the Republic of China (Taiwan) consisting of the Kuomintang (KMT), People First Party (PFP), New Party (CNP), Non-Partisan Solidarity Union (NPSU), and Young China Party (YCP). The name comes from the party color of the Kuomintang. This coalition maintains that the Republic of China instead of the People's Republic of China is the legitimate government of China, favors a Chinese and Taiwanese dual identity over an exclusive Taiwanese identity, and favors greater friendly exchange with Mainland China, as opposed to the Pan-Green Coalition. Overseas Chinese Youth Language Training And Study Tour To The Republic Of China
The Overseas Compatriot Youth Taiwan Study Tour to Taiwan, informally known as the Love Boat, is currently a three-week summer program for about 70 to 100 College-aged Overseas Chinese and Overseas Taiwanese. In Chinese language, Chinese it is also colloquially referred to as ''Měi-Jiā-yíng'' (美加營) – “America and Canada Camp” – a reference to the origin of most participants. Overseas Chinese () refers to people of Chinese birth or ethnicity who reside outside Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. As of 2011, there were over 40.3 million overseas Chinese. Kuomintang
The Kuomintang (KMT), also referred to as the Guomindang (GMD), the Nationalist Party of China (NPC) or the Chinese Nationalist Party (CNP), is a major political party in the Republic of China, initially on the Chinese mainland and in Taiwan after 1949.
