Chiharu Matsuyama
Chiharu Matsuyama (松山千春, born December 16, 1955) is a Japanese folk music, folk singer and songwriter. He made his debut with the single ''Tabidachi'' in 1977, and success soon followed with the two hits ''Toki no Itazura'' and ''Kisetsu no Nakade.'' Matsuyama has been portrayed in film by Shunsuke Daitō. Daitō played him in a 2008 film based on Matsuyama's autobiographical work ''Ashoro Yori'', published in 1979. Ashoro
is a town located in Tokachi Subprefecture, Hokkaido, Japan. As of September 2016, the town has an estimated population of 7,150 and a density of 5.1 persons per km2. The total area is 1,408.09 km2. It was the largest municipality in Japan until the merger of Takayama City, Gifu Prefecture on February 1, 2005. Main industries of the town include dairying and farming of sugar beet and wheat. Lake Onnetō is a major attraction of the town and is a part of Akan National Park.
