Chien-Shiung Wu College () is a college named after Chien-Shiung Wu, an alumna of previous National Central University. The college is a part of Southeast University, Nanjing. Southeast University
Southeast University (SEU, ) is a public research university located in Nanjing, Jiangsu, China. It was formed from one of the oldest universities and the first coeducational university in China, and designated as a member of the Double First Class University Plan, Project 985, and Project 211, sponsored by the Ministry of Education of China aiming to develop into a world-class university. Its precursor, Sanjiang Normal College, was established in 1902 as a modern university on the campus of an academy which dates back to 258. Harry Shum
Heung-Yeung "Harry" Shum (; born October 1966) is a Chinese computer scientist. He was a doctoral student of Raj Reddy. He was the Executive Vice President of Artificial Intelligence & Research at Microsoft. He is known for his research on computer vision and computer graphics, and for the development of the search engine Bing. Early life and education Shum was born and grew up in Nanjing, China. He got his bachelor's degree from Southeast University, Nanjing, China, and a master's degree from Hong Kong University. He studied at Carnegie Mellon University and earned a Ph.D. in robotics from its School of Computer Science in 1996. Career In 1996, Shum joined Microsoft Research in Redmond.
