Chiara Mazzel
Chiara Mazzel (born 19 March 1996) is an Italian para-alpine skier, who won multiple events at the 2023 World Para Alpine Skiing Championships. She competed at the 2022 Winter Paralympics. Early life Mazzel from Cavalese, Trento, Italy. As a child, she was diagnosed with glaucoma, and was registered blind at the age of 18. In her spare time, she plays the French horn. As of 2023, Mazzel lived in San Giovanni di Fassa. In June 2023, Mezzel was wheeled up to the Everest South base camp in Nepal. Career As a teenager, Mazzel participated in skiing and snowboarding. She started competition events in 2019, alongside guide Fabrizio Casal. She competes in visually impaired classification events. Mazzel competed at the 2022 Winter Paralympics. Cavalese
Cavalese (''Cavalés'' in local dialect) is a ''comune'' of 4,004 inhabitants in Trentino, northern Italy, a ski resort and the main center in the Fiemme Valley. Combined is an event in alpine ski racing. A traditional combined competition consists of one run of downhill and two runs of slalom, each discipline runs on separate days. The winner is the skier with the fastest aggregate time. (Until the 1990s, a complicated point system was used to determine placings in the combined event.) A modified version, the super combined, is a speed race (downhill or super-G) and only one run of slalom, with both portions scheduled on the same day.
